The anchor tenant for a new core/shell construction, this high-end interior upfit for Robinson Gray law firm in Columbia, SC features over 28,000 SF of office space across two floors, with an additional 5,000 SF in the form of a walk-able outdoor terrace. The new space boasts a mix of private offices and conference rooms, multiple cafe areas and high-end finishes throughout.
This new building is the first large scale commercial Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) base building in the Carolinas.
MITIGATING SCHEDULE DELAYS FROM THE START
In order to stay on track with this project’s tight schedule, work was
done in conjunction with the base building GC to coordinate timelines and operate cohesively. Early procurement of various materials including lighting, mechanical and drywall helped avoid supply chain issues and allowed the client to move into their new space on time.
Additionally, extra value engineering efforts were conducted to allow the client to stay within budget. A collaborative approach and extensive pricing exercises saw more than $880,000 saved by the client over the course of this project.
