CORPORATE INTERIORS

Barringer recently completed this phased, occupied Lobby renovation in the 1 Wells Fargo Center in Uptown Charlotte. Originally constructed in 1986, this Class A, high rise lobby features 4 major street level entrances, 2 second-floor pedestrian bridge access points, 5 major elevator lobbies and a parking garage access point. Scope included renovating the main lobby, elevator lobbies and pedestrian bridges to include new floor and wall tiles, refinishing the existing handrail and new paint and carpet in the walkways.

HIGH-END, CUSTOM FEATURES
This renovation boasts several unique design elements including over 3,000 SF of custom wood veneer panels, 16,000 SF of new floor tile and 7,500 SF of new wall tile. A full mechanical and lighting upgrade was added, complete with a 16’ x 25’ multi-pendant custom fixture that was imported from Czech Republic. Featuring over 700 individually hand-blown glass bulbs, this elaborate fixture is programable and colors can be changed on each individual ball to fit holidays, sporting games and other major events.

BRINGING CREATIVE SOLUTIONS
Our team undertook extensive safety efforts and provided creative solutions throughout the project. To maintain tenant access during construction, we built a temp second floor to divide the mall level and allow pedestrians to safely walk underneath. Additionally, all junction box, mechanical unit and lighting control access points were reworked to fall within the ACT portion of the ceiling, resulting in only one access panel in the entire hard ceiling system – an effort that maintains the clean, high-end feel of the space.
