MWI Veterinary Supply

Our team completed this renovation of an existing warehouse to accommodate a new veterinary supply distribution facility for MWI Veterinary Supply. The scope of this project included:

• Expansion and renovation of current office space
• A demising of the warehouse
• Creation of new egress pathways
• Installation of hazmat storage
• All new HVAC and electrical distribution

LESSONS LEARNED
Multiple lessons were learned throughout the duration of this project including the need for coordination of fire protection requirements with new equipment layout and the coordination of manufacturing equipment and racking vendor to determine electrical requirements, scheduling, egress paths, etc. It is also essential to work with the utility company upfront to determine the specific power needs for the facility. By completing these items early on in the process, our team was able to keep this project moving on schedule.
