Gas Fired Products Silanes Lab

Barringer is currently completing this 157,000 SF, design-build project for Gas-Fired Products in Matthews, NC. Project scope includes space buildouts of:
•136,000 SF manufacturing and warehousing space
•3,750 SF manufacturing break room, bathrooms, and shipping area
•10,900 SF, two-story office space
•6,600 SF new engineering/testing lab space

In addition to these space buildouts, other work includes conducting a complete renovation of existing steel, masonry and PEMB buildings, building facade improvements as well as parking and site improvements. New Electrical Service and HVAC systems are also being installed to accommodate large manufacturing equipment.

TIME SAVINGS THROUGH PROJECT APPROACH
This project was broken into 5 phases/areas to allow move-in and operation of specific areas of the building to accommodate move-out dates of existing facilities and minimize downtime of manufacturing processes. In addtion to this, the design build approach also allowed for a condensed design schedule. Work began in some areas with early permit packages while other areas were still being designed and submitted for permit.
