Policygenius enlisted Barringer to help create its new headquarters on floors 5 and 6 of the 555 Mangum Building in the heart of downtown Durham, a new Class A office building overlooking the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

This interior up-fit transformed the industrial, first generation space into an open office environment complete with 33 meeting rooms, 9 phone rooms and many flexible collaboration areas. New bathrooms and a café were also added. The space is anchored by an all hands area complete with a podium, stadium style seating, and widespread views of downtown Durham.

OVERCOMING LOGISTICAL OBSTACLES
Much of our work had to be completed in conjunction with the core and shell contractor, resulting in long durations with minimal-to-no access to the elevators and loading dock. Our team had to find creative solutions when stocking material and removing trash – a challenge made even trickier by the jobsite’s location. To ensure the project’s safe and timely progression, windows were pulled and one of the main roads around the ballpark was closed down in order to stock materials.
