Making history in a historic space: a forward-thinking workplace for a forward-thinking firm

Robinson Gray’s new office reflects the evolution of law firm design, crafted to foster collaboration, mentoring, and meaningful interaction. The space blends modern amenities with historic design elements, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with natural light, and sleek finishes that pay homage to the firm’s legacy. A thoughtful layout includes a mix of open and private work environments, conference rooms, collaboration zones, multiple café areas, and a 5,000-square-foot outdoor terrace for employees to enjoy. As the anchor tenant in South Carolina’s first large-scale commercial building constructed with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), the firm is making history while embracing innovation.

A collaborative build to ensure seamless project delivery

This interior upfit was completed in conjunction with the building’s core and shell construction, which was managed by a separate general contractor. The project team prioritized open communication and close coordination with external partners to strategically align timelines and share site access, ensuring smooth progress across all phases. To mitigate potential delays, key materials were procured early to avoid supply chain disruptions. These proactive measures resulted in significant cost savings for the client and enabled the team to deliver the project on schedule.
