Supporting the systems behind the process

As part of Charlotte Pipe’s next-generation manufacturing campus, these three pre-engineered metal buildings provide essential infrastructure for power distribution, compressed air systems, and shipping operations, supporting the seamless performance of the facility.

Centralized power distribution hub

This PEMB structure serves as the central electrical hub for the entire site, housing two switchgears and all major electrical components. Power is directed from the on-site substation into this facility, where it is then distributed across campus to support all buildings and operations, ensuring reliable, coordinated energy delivery.

Pre-shipment processing facility

Designed as an open warehouse for outbound operations, this facility houses all materials prior to shipment. Key features include a truck scale and radiation detector, along with dedicated office space for shipping coordinators, supporting efficient, organized movement of materials leaving the site.

Compressed air system housing

This structure houses eight 16,550-pound, 450-horsepower compressors, along with eight dedicated dryers to support the system. Due to the size and weight of the equipment, each unit is installed on isolated pads, ensuring stability and long-term performance while maintaining safe operation of critical compressed air systems.
