TIAA Data Center

This project, completed by members of our missing critical team with a previous employer, included construction of new 64,000 square foot Tier 2 data center facility. The overall space breaks down into approximately 14,000 square feet of infrastructure (mechanical, switchgear, and UPS) area, 30,000 square feet of data center, 8,000 square feet of office support area, and 12,000 square feet of future expansion space. The building shell consisted of steel frame construction with an architectural precast concrete skin, 4-ply roof system, and a 10,000 square foot outdoor equipment yard. Interior finishes included over 40,000 square feet of HPL raised access flooring, drywall and demountable partitions, paint, VWC, and carpet.

CHALLENGES/BENEFITS
Shell construction was completed on schedule during a season of record precipitation. The project was constructed on a fully occupied corporate campus with no facility shutdowns
throughout construction. Data center commissioning was integrated into the project schedule to turnover the project ahead of schedule.
