Asheville School – Mitchell Dorm Hall

This project consisted of a complete renovation of Mitchell Hall, a historic classroom building, at the Asheville School in Asheville, NC. Included in this renovation was a total gut of the bottom floor to add in a new entry, the closing off of an exiting entry, upfit of the corridor and the creation of five new science labs and classrooms with the associated infrastructure. In addition, a new elevator shaft was added to the end of the building that required a match of the existing exterior. This renovation updated the building dramatically and made it suitable for modern teaching practices and students.
