In fall 2025, Barringer Construction became 100% employee-owned through the launch of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This milestone ensures the future of Barringer will remain in the hands of those who built and care for this amazing organization: our team.

A Culture Built Around Customer, Community & Team

Established in Charlotte in 2011 by Tim Miller, Chris Butlak, and Chris Frye, Barringer was founded to revive a diminishing approach to construction services: one where people come first, handshakes still matter, and building is treated as a craft, not a commodity. Almost fifteen years later, we’ve grown to over 200 team members serving clients across North Carolina and South Carolina with offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Asheville.

Over the years, our team has built hundreds of iconic projects, hosted dozens of bacon-filled parties, spent thousands of hours giving back to our communities and above all, formed lasting relationships. We’ve even semi-adopted an alpaca or two. But most importantly, we’ve proudly cultivated a reputation for doing things differently. Our approach is rooted in transparency, trust, and a whole lot of heart. This is the Barringer Way, and it’s at the core of everything we do.
