Look up! You’ll see Spider-Man to your left and his nemesis, the Green Goblin, to your right. Mac Jones, one of our superintendents, was given an address and asked to go to “Winston-Salem to pick something up.” With no further information, he had to go from suite to suite asking, “Do you have something for me?” His search ended with a 6-foot tall Spider-Man that he laid down in the passenger seat beside him for the two-hour ride home.
Years later, during our second office renovation, we realized that instead of trying to match the wood to patch a hole in the ceiling, it would be much easier to cover it with the custom-made Green Goblin that Lenny Knott molded and paper mache’d off of his own body.
